Peer Review Process

Article Submission, Review, and Acceptance Process

All manuscripts submitted to the Journal of Environmental Economics and Natural Resources undergo an initial screening by the editorial office before entering the peer review process. At this stage, manuscripts are evaluated in terms of their relevance to the journal’s scope, compliance with scientific writing standards, and adherence to formal and structural guidelines.

Prior to being sent to reviewers, all submitted manuscripts are examined for scientific originality and plagiarism using reliable similarity-checking systems. The journal strictly adheres to a zero-tolerance policy toward plagiarism, and any manuscript found to involve plagiarism will be rejected. The accuracy of the data, analyses, and results presented in the manuscript is entirely the responsibility of the author(s). In cases where incorrect information or scientific misconduct is identified, the author(s) are obliged to provide clarification, correction, or retraction as required.

Following initial approval, each manuscript is evaluated by at least two independent and expert reviewers through a double-blind peer review process. The Editor-in-Chief is responsible for overseeing the proper implementation of the review process and ensuring the confidentiality of all submitted materials. The identities of authors and reviewers remain anonymous to one another, and the content of manuscripts will not be disclosed to unauthorized individuals prior to publication.

The final decision regarding acceptance, revision, or rejection of a manuscript is made solely on the basis of the reviewers’ expert evaluations, without any influence from factors outside the scientific framework. In cases where reviewers’ opinions differ, the manuscript will be referred to a third reviewer, or the final decision will be made by the Editorial Board of the journal.
