The future of the environment, as an important part of the future of life, is of interest to a large number of individuals, institutions, and governments. Accordingly, the purpose of this research is to identify and analyze the threats and opportunities arising from the drivers of environmental culture in the social and cultural fields. In this study, based on the purpose of the research, the futures research method with the approach of trend analysis and driver analysis has been used to analyze this issue. The statistical population of the research is elite, scientific and academic experts active in the field of the environment, 28 of whom have participated in focus groups and expert panels, The drivers identified to explain Iran's environmental culture are derived from the macro-trend of the social and cultural field, some interviews, brainstorming sessions, and credible research reports that the researcher has identified in two national dimensions (10 drivers) and in the transnational dimension (8 drivers) based on some documentation. In the analysis of these drivers, "Environmental education of children" ranked first in terms of effectiveness with an average of (3.964) and "Resilience in socioecological systems" ranked first in terms of certainty with an average of (3.581). As a result of the matrix analysis, the drivers (attracting public participation for zero waste, increasing urbanization in the world, creating a green vision, environmental education of children, creating a common environmental vision) are among the important drivers that have high scores in terms of effectiveness and certainty,
